Privacy Policy

Wanta Basketball ("Wanta", "we") runs Wanta Client, the Wanta servers and Wanta Access memberships. This page says what we collect, why, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do.

What we collect

• Steam sign-in: your Steam ID, Steam name and profile picture (public on Steam).
• Game data: your builds, saves you back up, VC, rep, items, park and court stats, match history, and reports Wanta Client sends when something is wrong with your game files.
• Connection data: your IP address and connection quality, used to run matches, keep queues fair and fight abuse.
• Fair-play checks: while the game runs, Wanta Client checks for known cheat and trainer programs and for tools that reach into the game, and sends us what it finds. It does not read your files, messages or browsing.
• Voice chat: in-game voice goes through our servers to the players near you. We don't record voice chat.
• Discord (optional): if you link Discord, your Discord user ID and display name (Discord's "identify" permission only: no e-mail, servers or messages).
• Patreon (optional): if you link Patreon, your Patreon user ID and membership status.
• Payments: Stripe handles payments. We receive your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, membership status and dates, and the e-mail and country you gave Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

Why we use it

To run the game servers and your account, give members their perks, keep play fair, answer support tickets, prevent fraud and chargebacks, and meet legal and tax duties.

Who we share it with

• Stripe (payments), Discord and Patreon (only if you link them), Steam (sign-in), and our server host Vultr. Each has its own privacy policy.
• Other players see your in-game name, logo, rep and stats in the game and on boards.
• Authorities, only when the law requires it.

We don't sell your data and don't use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Account and game data: while your account is active and up to 12 months after your last sign-in. Payment records: as long as tax law requires (usually 7 years). Fair-play and ban records: as long as needed to keep bans working.

Your choices

You can unlink Discord or Patreon in Wanta Client at any time. You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account by e-mailing support@wantaclient.com. We'll answer within 30 days. Some records (payments, bans) we may have to keep.

Children

Wanta isn't for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes and contact
